About Cottonseed, LLC

Cottonseed LLC was formed in 1981 by a group of cotton growers and ginners in Alabama. The purpose of the new company was to develop opportunities for cottonseed and address the emerging demand from the dairy industry.

During the 80's and 90's the company began direct shipments by truck to dairy customers. It also established terminals and trans-loading facilities served by barge and rail in key dairy areas throughout the United States. This drive to establish cottonseed in dairyman’s high producing herds has led to it being fed to over half of the cows in the country.

While cottonseed is notoriously difficult to handle in mechanized environments, Cottonseed LLC was at the forefront in the development of a product that can be used by feed mills. In 2000 the EasiFlo plant in Courtland, Alabama came on line to provide a flowable product for inclusion in formulation feeds.

Today Cottonseed LLC continues to serve dairyman and feed companies throughout North America and recently expanded its base to include clients around the Pacific Rim and in the Middle East. The focus of Cottonseed LLC remains unchanged our mission is to continue to provide "Cottonseed to Cows".
